022 - Seven the Teenage Witch

[Annika is one of those average kids. She's not excessively popular, but she's sweet to most anyone and generally quiet. Occasionally she has a surprisingly ascerbic remark and she does have a temper if someone pushes her buttons.

She does flirt but if someone responds, she immediately reminds them that she's taken. And if they keep pushing, they're quickly dissuaded.

Now, though, she has a mini-cauldron which she lifts to show them. There's a murky brown liquid in it.]

Uh... could someone give me some advice? I was trying to make a cleaning potion but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to look like the mud pie that I made when I was six.

[She's pretty smart, almost gifted if she put the effort in, but that varies. And it's really hard for her to do so in Xen's class as she spends the most of it resenting the hell out of her. She always does well in the potion's final exams but that's only because she's doing for her parents.]

Ok… [She grabs the notebook with her ingredients and shows them.] What am I missing here?

[This prompts her to peer at it in a new light.] Still smells of bleach, so I don't think anyone's going to mistake it for food. At least no one who was using their senses, anyway. [And she doesn't mean smell.] Hopefully, Satsuki can help me fix it.

…Nostalgic? [Please not be hugely embarrassing or something.]

[Annika turns away no offers of help.] Looks like, yeah.

[Annika nods and deactivates the comm. Even if Willow doesn't really know where her room is precisely, the smell of bleach gives it away.]

[He has a 'how did you even manage that' look on his face.]

[She gives him a 'I am not impressed' look.] I don't think so, Eddie.

But it might do something interesting. Like turn your clothes a different colour, or make them sprout wings.

Or melt through the floor, remove a limb... and what do I want with wings? [She gives him a dubious expression.] I think you're over-estimating my luck.

Yeah, probably, but I never said the result would be useful.

I'd be all up for testing it on Loki's clothes instead. Or his hair.

Why? What did Loki do? [Checks.] I mean, aside from accuse you of date rape in front of the entire school. [Awkward...] Talk about self-fulfilling prophecy. [What kind of parents go and call their child Loki, anyway?] Nobody takes him seriously anyway.

His boyfriend does-- poor, naive boy that he is. Have you seen the love letters he gives Loki? It's drivel like 'I get lost in your eyes', and 'you're my sunshine'. It should really be 'your existence gives everyone but me retinal burn'.

[He snerks.]

You can probably tell I'm not happy with him today. Having to share a dorm with that guy can get grating.

[Annika thinks of Kay doing those things. And ok, they do their dorky things, but there's no written evidence and Kay's never gotten lost in her eyes at any point. She probably never would stop giggling.]

I hope however you got your hands on those [And she's not going to ask.] you keep them for the twenty year reunion. [Because however bad it sounds now, when they're all grown up? She snickers a bit too.]

Yeah. I don't envy you.

...I may use them on Kay, see how he reacts. The love letters. Oh, my God, you don't know if there's a pulp romance fiction section in the library, do you? I've never thought to look but that stuff is bound to be gold!

Oh man, go for it, and make them especially cheesy. His bewilderment would be hilarious.

And I'm pretty sure I've overheard students talking about pulp magazines, so there probably are some in the library, around the light reading section. Just find one with 'spicy' in its title and you're set.
